OVERVIEW: 125mm High-Explosive (HE) tank ammunition is designed for general-purpose use against unarmored and lightly armored targets, infantry, and fortifications. It delivers destructive blast and fragmentation effects, making it ideal for direct and indirect fire support in urban and open environments.

DETAILS: These full-bore rounds consist of a steel casing filled with a high explosive charge and are fitted with impact or delay-action fuzes, depending on mission needs. Upon detonation, the round produces a powerful blast and high-velocity fragmentation, effective against enemy personnel, light vehicles, structures, and field positions. Modern 125mm HE rounds may incorporate pre-fragmented casings or variable fuzing options to enhance lethality. Though not effective against heavily armored vehicles, HE shells offer flexibility in support roles and can suppress enemy positions with indirect fire when necessary.
